This study of the situation of women artists in Britainbased on my PhD, is supported by two publication grants from the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art and was completed during my time as a Leverhulme Research Fellow Women Artists from Ireland. A collection of in-depth interviews with 16 contemporary women artists working or born in both Northern Ireland and Eire but living in Europe, America, UK and Eire, reviewing 10 years of their work.
