Even when they do make the viking discovery of the century it is kind of overshadowed with a blast from a Jules Verne story. Try the Kindle edition and experience these great reading features: All I really figured out in this novel was how awesome and good at everything Dirk Pitt was.
How come that he again beats the best trained people in these books? He lives in a hangar by himself and collects antique airplanes and cars I always enjoy the first story in a Cussler book, in this case, the beginnings of a diamond dynasty almost two centuries earlier.

But I would still have given it a four-star rating. It was the first time Cussler began writing novels in and published his first work featuring his continuous series hero, Dirk Pitt, in Get fast, free shipping with Amazon Prime. That didn’t work out at all and it actually left me with the feeling of contradictions, more questions and a book that seemed to be rushed to a deadline.
Don’t get me wrong – Cussler is a solid author, and if you’ve read more than a couple of Dirk Pitt novels, you know what to expect – action, and lots of research. I’m a sucker for Clive Cussler’s Dirk Pitt adventures.
Neither are prepared for the mechanical marvels they’ll soon be forced to confront. Dirk Pitt, the captain and h The luxury liner, Emerald Dolphin, was unsinkable. There are others just as good, but they write other style books and it is not fair to risinh humor against action adventure etc, etc.
